Medicine Dog Productions will hold two fundraisers starting Dec. 16 to benefit local families struggling with health issues and loss.

The Roger Samcoff cancer benefit starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at Dax's Tavern, 1004 Lee Blvd., Richland. The event features music by Blues AllStars, Three Legged Dog, Vaughn Jensen Band, Ho Aloha-Mele and Auntie Onies hula dancers. No cover charge.

Then on Dec. 23, the fundraiser at the Tinhat Tavern, 425 E. Bruneau Ave., Kennewick, will hold a Christmas benefit for the family of Teddy Calloway, who was killed in a zipline accident in Hawaii earlier this year. He was father to seven children.

Tinhat music will be provided by the Vaughn Jensen Band and the Blues AllStars. Cover charge is $5 at the door.
