A new look at top of CWAC girls standings

The CWAC will have a different look this season, as defending state champion Prosser graduated Tamara Jones and Tayshia Hunt leaving a big void for the Mustangs.

Prosser also has a new coach in Scott Yetter, after Mark Little retired.

The Mustangs do return Helen Petersen and Sydney Mercer, but will have stiff competition chasing down East Valley, which returns nearly everyone.

Grandview has high hopes under first-year head coach David Gibb. The Greyhounds return Marissa Caballero and Payton Parrish, who each averaged more than 16 points per game last season.

The Greyhounds have one of their best chances to return to state for the first time since 2000-01.

Former head coach Scott Van Pelt resigned to become an assistant at Kennewick.

Othello also has a new coach in Clyde Woods, a Pasco High graduate.

Woods inherits a struggling program, which lost post Christine Kirkwood to graduation.

Ephrata and Toppenish have looked good in the early going and could compete for the league title.
