KENNEWICK -- Two home-schooled Kennewick siblings on Monday advanced to the regional level of a constitutional speech contest.
Nicholas and Olivia Bayuk won the local contest organized by the American Legion.
They now will move on to the regional contest held Jan. 21 at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake to advance to the state competition.
The state winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship and a paid trip to Indianapolis to compete in the national contest for $138,000 in scholarships.
