PENDLETON -- The Wildhorse Foundation recently announced about $178,000 in grants to 30 organizations in Northeast Oregon and Southeast Washington.
The Benton-Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross of Kennewick received $5,000 for its disaster services program.
Camp Fire Boys and Girls Walla Walla Council received $6,000 to help with after-school camp.
Community Council of Walla Walla received $2,500 to pay for a community study. And the Walla Walla Senior Citizens Center will receive $5,000 for 12 computers, computer tables, chairs and copiers.
This year, the community benefit fund established by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation has awarded about $570,000.
