I would like to thank the Tri-Cities community for supporting the 8th Annual Turkey Trot benefiting the Benton/Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross. What a beautiful day and a great way to start Thanksgiving. We had more than 3,700 people who participated in this family event and raised $60,000.

Special thanks go out to the city of Kennewick's Columbia Park crew for going above and beyond to help us out. On Wednesday, the day before the event, the stage at Columbia Park was "tagged" by vandals. In less than three hours, the stage backdrop was repainted and ready for the Turkey Trot the following morning. Last year, the park crew shoveled and pushed snow in the extreme cold so that we could hold the event. It's teamwork like this that helps make this event so successful each year.
