Grandview police arrested a 19-year-old man Monday in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Mariano Cuevas on Saturday night.
Police are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time, nor are they giving any details about the shooting or how he was arrested, according to a Grandview police news release.
A number of officers worked on the case from the outset, which led to the arrest, and more information may be released to the public today, the release said.
The shooting took place about 8 p.m. in the 600 block of East Second Street. Witnesses reported seeing a suspect running from the scene, police said.
A police dog unit from Sunnyside and officers from Prosser and Mabton, as well as Benton County sheriff's deputies helped search the area.
