PORTLAND -- Kamiakin senior Anthony Armstrong finished seventh at Nike Cross Nationals on Saturday at Portland Meadows.
Armstrong, coming off wins in the 3A state championships, Northwest Regional and BorderClash, finished the 5-kilometer course in 15 minutes, 32 seconds.
The winner, Futsum Zeinasellaissie of Indianapolis, won in 15:03 and averaged a 4:51 mile.
Tacoma runner Izaic Yorks, who finished second or third to Armstrong in three races, placed fourth in 15:30.
Six-time defending 3A state champion North Central of Spokane finished seventh in the team race.
In the girls race, North Central's Katie Knight placed third in 17:45, 2 seconds behind the winner, Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley, Calif.
Glacier Peak's Amy-Eloise Neale finished fifth in 17:54.
