Twenty families and many individual children are in need of "adoption" as part of Catholic Family & Child Service's Christmas Brigade.

Community members are asked to help bring the joy of Christmas to those who cannot afford to buy gifts or basic necessities.

The agency hopes to donate gifts to more than 1,000 children of all faiths and ages this year.

To donate toys or gift cards, bring them to the Catholic Family & Child Service office at 2139 Van Giesen St., Richland.

For each dollar donated, a link will be added to a paper chain that will be displayed in the Benton PUD lobby.
