Two Mid-Columbia football players were named to the Tacoma News Tribune all-state team Thursday.

Connell running back Matt Hadley was honored after setting state records for career touchdowns and points scored. The BYU-bound senior will lead the Eagles into the 1A state title game Saturday against Cascade Christian at the Tacoma Dome.

Despite missing three games with a broken ankle, Chiawana senior linebacker Jordan Downing also was named to the team after leading the Riverhawks to their second consecutive CBBN 4A title.
