UMATILLA -- Park rangers are offering guided hikes this weekend about a mile downstream of McNary Lock and Dam on the Oregon shoreline.

The hike offers an opportunity to learn about migrating water fowl and other wildlife residents along the Columbia River.

The walks are from 10 a.m. to noon today and Saturday.

Hikers should meet in the Pacific Salmon Visitor Information Center. To get there, drive a mile east of Umatilla on Highway 730, turn north onto McNary Dam Road and follow the road to the parking lot.
