You can still participate in Thursday’s Turkey Trot annual fundraiser for the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross.

About 3,200 people are registered for the annual Thanksgiving day event.

The race starts at 8:45 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the stage near the Playground of Dreams.

Cost is $20 for the race and shirts are $10.

Events include a 5K run and 1-mile walk/run through Columbia Park in Kennewick. Participants can enjoy hot and cold beverages, opening ceremonies, a kids area, children’s goodie bags and prizes for top finishers.

Proceeds benefit chapter community programs including Disaster Services, Health and Safety Services and Service to Armed Forces.
