Measles are on the rise. Apparently the disease runs in cycles, recurring in epidemics about once in four years. 1664 cases have been reported this year. The law requires that all measle cases be reported to the Health Officer. This official places a sign on the house quarantined to notify others that a contagious disease exists in the household.
