None of the Tri-City Americans players will claim to be a good bowler, but that doesn't keep them from making side bets when they hit the lanes for the Tri-City Americans Booster Club's annual Bowl with the Americans event.
Sunday's event at Spare Time Lanes in Kennewick also had a family twist to it as Wes and Janet Wilgosh made the trip from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mrs. Wilgosh put her son and a few other players to shame. Mason was glad to only have to play against her in one game.
Angie Hughesman and Maureen Shinnimin also made the trek from Winnipeg to watch their sons play. In fact, all the Winnipeg parents will be here through the Thanksgiving weekend.
Marcus Messier had the top single-game score for the players with a 170 in the same game as his older brother Jordan, who rolled a 138. Marcus also had the top series with a 433.
Justin Feser was right behind Little Mess with a 165 and a 429.
Thumper Baum led the boosters with a 274 game and a 661 series.
