I know that the pictures in the Pet Zone section of the Sunday paper are supposed to be cute and funny, but as a Vietnam veteran, I don't see anything cute or funny about on picture in the Nov. 20 edition.

First of all, the American flag is lying on the floor, then the dog is sitting on the flag. There is nothing cute or funny about that picture. If the dog's owners are trying to make a political statement with the flag and their dog's name, George W., it is lost on me. I find the picture insulting and ridiculous! The dog's owners should learn flag etiquette, and shame on the Tri-City Herald for printing it.
