In response to the Port of Kennewick hiring a law firm to locate expense accounts over a six-year period for a public record request. This begs the questions as follows:
1. What lawyer firm works for $31,000 for a one-year period?
2. If Commissioner David Hanson did not do any thing wrong, why did he return the $1,170 in questionable travel expenses?
3. Why doesn't the record search just start with the two-year period covered in the Hanson case?
4. Let the public see some corrective action for the person who approved Hanson's expense accounts.
This is another case where a person in a government agency apparently does something wrong and does not even get a slap on the wrist.
GARY WOOLEY, Kennewick
