* 1995 -- Former Kennewick assistant coach Roy Albertson called the shots as head coach of a robust Chewelah squad in a 28-13 Class A quarterfinal victory over top-ranked Royal at Lampson Stadium.

* 1995 -- The Tri-City Americans were without captain Daymond Langkow but still wrangled five power-play goals for a 6-4 victory over Spokane and spoiled the night before a record crowd of 10,526 Chiefs fans at the new Spokane Arena.
