Editorial comment: Tri-City area residents appear to be a thrifty lot. Four Tri-City banks revealed that they sent out $350,000 in checks for Christmas Savings clubs to which Tri-Citians belong. This sum does not, of course, include funds in savings accounts at banks and savings and loan associations.
