A pair of hard-charging running backs/hard-hitting linebackers were named MVPs of the CBBN 3A and 4A on Monday.

Chiawana's Jordan Downing received the honor among the 4A schools despite missing half the season with a knee injury, a testament to how the league's coaches felt about the talented senior's impact. Kamiakin's Zach Umemoto was named top player in the 3A.

Umemoto wasn't the only Braves player to earn big honors. Senior lineman Joe Hunt was named offensive lineman and defensive player of the year. Kennewick running back Grant Woods was named offensive player of the year, and the Lions' Bill Templeton was honored as coach of the year.

Another Chiawana player received 4A honors, as Miquiyah Zamora was named defensive player of the year, and the Riverhawks' Steve Graff the coach of the year.

Ike's Mike Jones received offensive lineman of the year, and the Cadets also had the offensive line of the year. Also, Ike QB Kolney Cassel and WR Denzel Jones shared offensive player of the year.
