Phyllis and Richard Burnham of Kennewick will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 26.
They were married Oct. 26, 1961, in Grand Junction, Colo. They have lived in the Mid-Columbia for 42 years.
Phyllis is a homemaker and stained glass artist. She is involved in the Tri-City Quilt Guild.
Richard started working in a small Colorado newspaper at a very young age and spent about 50 years in and around newspaper and printing plants. He served in the Marine Corps and is a Korean war veteran.
In 1969, Tri-City Herald publisher, Glenn C. Lee, convinced him to move to the Tri-Cities and work for the Herald. He retired from Press Craft in Pasco in 1996.
They have three children, Shirley Burnham of Richland; Heather Pillarealli, Richland; and Monika Christensen, Wenatchee.
They have six grandchildren.
