To salt or not to salt, that is the question? Some years ago I worked for a few weeks per year at the West Valley Nuclear facility for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. I always laughed at the employees who drove from Buffalo, N.Y., each day.
I knew it was summer or winter depending on what car they drove. They drove their good car during the summer and parked it for the winter. In winter they had their old beater car that had holes in the fenders, the doors were falling off and it was considered expendable as the salt ate through the metal parts.
Kennewick citizens, do you have an old beater car to give to the cause? Get it out, winter is just around the corner.
