Pasco's Winston scores 4 in WWCC win

WALLA WALLA -- Pasco graduate Kaylie Winston scored four goals -- including a natural hat trick -- to lead Walla Walla to a 6-0 home win over Clark, moving the Warriors into the NWAACC semifinals for the seventh consecutive season.

After a goal by Ali Skogrand in the 20th minute gave Walla Walla a 1-0 lead, Winston -- the NWAACC scoring leader -- netted goals in the 38th, 40th and 51st minute, giving her 30 on the year.

The two-time defending NWAACC champion Warriors also got a goal and assist from Sami Hansen.

Walla Walla goalkeeper Courtney Hancock, a former Southridge star, picked up the shutout.

The Warriors, who will face Everett at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila, are trying to become just the second NWAACC women's team to win three consecutive titles. The other was Tacoma from 1996-1998.

Highline men 3, Walla Walla 0

Darwin Jones broke a 1-all tie in the 68th minute off an assist from Tody Tolo to lift Highline past host Walla Walla. Jones finished with two goals and an assist.

Kamiakin graduate Colten Sullivan scored for the Warriors in the 54th minute to even things up at 1, taking an assist from Richland product Perry McNamar.
