KENNEWICK -- Newborn twins at Kennewick General Hospital may have hit the jackpot of luck Friday -- thanks to a little pre-planning by their parents.

Braxton and Brooklyn Broders were born at 11:11 a.m. on 11-11-11.

The babies' mother, Angela Broders, scheduled her Caesarean section a week ago and picked Friday to be the twins' birth date, said their very excited father, Troy Broders.

The time for the C-section was also planned.

Braxton is the oldest, but by less than 60 seconds because his sister shares the exact same time of birth, Troy Broders told the Herald.

"I couldn't believe they could get both of them out so quick," he said. "But they wanted to get them out in the same minute. ... It was a neat experience."

The twins were delivered by Dr. Gregory Schroff of Kennewick.

More luck was on their side after the delivery when Angela was put in room 1111.

Broders, who calls himself a "lucky stay-at-home dad," will now have his hands full when the twins join older brother Brady, who is 2 1/2.

Broders, however, said he is prepared, or at least "as prepared as you can be."

And he will have help until Angela goes back to her job as a medical assistant at the hospital.

Eleven is now Broders' lucky number, and he's hoping the luck he had Friday continues.

"We bought 11 lottery tickets," he said. "So hopefully it will pay for their college education."
