Learn how to start a business in Benton and Franklin counties at a two-hour workshop Monday by the Washington State University Tri-Cities Business LINKS program.
The Start Smart workshop will answer questions focusing on business plan basics:
-- How much money will you need to start and run the business until it is profitable?
-- What are your options for getting money for your business?
-- What do you need to do to legally launch your business -- licenses, taxes and other issues?
-- How will you market your business?
This practical and interactive workshop aims to help you save time and money by planning ahead. Participants develop an action plan and receive a step-by-step workbook.
The Start Smart workshop begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive, Richland. Registration costs $25 for up to two people. Preregister at tricity.wsu.edu/links or call 372-7101.
