I noticed a rather sizeable error in the Oct. 23-29, 2011, On Screen magazine that comes with our Sunday Tri-City Herald.
On Page 5 there is a very nicely written and concise "player profile" article by George Dickie. The article shows a photo of a handsome young NASCAR driver with a short biography of Kevin Michael Harvick across the top of the photo. At the bottom of the photo it states in big bold letters, "Harvick hopes to catch a fortuitous draft at Talladega."
The problem with all of this is the photo is not of Kevin Harvick who drives the number 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup car for Richard Childress Racing.
The photo is of one of his fellow competitors by the name of Ryan Newman who drives the number 39 NASCAR Sprint Cup car for Stewart Haas Racing.
I would be curious to know if this mistake was just published here in the Herald and is a local mistake, or if it was published like this in multiple locations and communities where the On Screen magazine is circulated.
Mistakes like this destroy credibility.
