HERMISTON -- Bobby Adams rushed for 188 yards and scored five touchdowns as host Hermiston rumbled to a 47-14 Oregon 5A football state play-in victory over visiting Putnam on Friday night.

Quarterback Alex Campbell also connected with Alex Ortiz on a 16-yard touchdown pass for the Bulldogs, while Rique Cardenas returned an interception 60 yards for another score.

The Bulldogs will be seeded eighth in their bracket next week in the first round of the state playoffs in Sherwood.
