As a fire commissioner serving on the Benton County Fire District 3 board, I know we need a person with board experience to be an active participant on the board. We need someone with no agenda or motives other than to serve and make the county safer and our fire department the best it can be. I feel that Gerry Sherman is the best candidate for this position.

Gerry has been attending yearly Washington State Fire Commissioner Association, Washington State Fire Chief's Association and Washington Finance Officers Association conferences to keep up to date on ever-changing board and fire department issues. Gerry's previous board member experience and 12 years as district secretary for Benton Co. District 6 make him, in my opinion, the best candidate for fire commissioner.

Recently, the Benton County commissioners were asked to choose a person to fill a vacant commissioner position on Benton County Fire District 3 Board. Three applicants interviewed and Gerry Sherman was appointed to fill the position by the Benton County commissioners.

Gerry Sherman has my vote.
