* 1990 -- The Tri-City Americans set a club record with their seventh consecutive victory, getting two goals apiece from Kyle Reeves and Brian Sakic in a 7-3 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings at Tri-City Coliseum. The Americans chased the WHL's top goalie -- Trevor Kidd, a future NHL starter -- with their seventh goal at 13:45 of the third period.

* 1969 -- Two students from Yakima Community College, disguised in Columbia Basin College lettermen's jackets, walked into the CBC administration offices. They claimed to be from the shop area and acquired the keys to "make improvements" to the trophy case. It was later noticed that the stuffed Hawk had been removed from its mounting in the case.
