Salvation Army offers help for holidays

Low-income Benton and Franklin county residents can apply for assistance during Christmas from The Salvation Army.

Sign-ups are between 9 a.m. and noon today at 1219 Thayer Drive in Richland or from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday through Nov. 4 at 310 N. Fourth Ave.

To qualify, you must present a birth certificate for children under 12 for gifts, as well as a picture ID for adults, proof of current address and proof of income and expenses.
