Most people have no idea who rapper Aaron Dontez Yates is. He's better known by his stage name, Tech N9ne.
This Kansas City musician brings his Lost Cities Tour of hip-hop music to the Tri-Cities on Nov. 1 at the Toyota Arena, next to Toyota Center in Kennewick.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Also appearing at the Knitting Factory event will be Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Jay Rock and Flawless.

Yates earned his nickname from rapper Black Walt because of his rhyming method. Walt compared it to the Tec-9 semiautomatic pistol, which he described as a lightning fast rhyming style.
Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, claiming that it stood for the complete technique of rhyme, with 'tech' meaning technique and 'nine' representing a number of completion.
He has released 15 albums since 1999 and has been featured in more than a dozen films.
