Here is a quick rundown on the playoff scenarios for the football leagues in the Mid-Columbia.
CBBN 4A
Chiawana (7-0, 5-0) has locked up the No. 1 seed and will host the Greater Spokane League No. 3 seed next weekend, while Eisenhower (7-1, 4-1) has the No. 2 seed and will play at the GSL No. 2 seed.
The No. 3 seed is up in the air, as a Chiawana win and a Richland win Friday, would create a three-way tie for third place. The tie would be broken at Moses Lake's Lions Field on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Davis would face Wenatchee in two, eight-minute periods. The winner would then face Richland, while the loser would be eliminated.
The winner and Richland would then play two eight-minute periods, with the winner of that game earning the CBBN No. 3 seed and the loser being eliminated.
CBBN 3A
Kamiakin (8-0, 6-0) has clinched the top spot in the playoffs and will host either Hanford or Eastmont next week in the regional playoffs.
Hanford is in with a win at Sunnyside on Friday, while Eastmont needs to upset the Braves and hope Sunnyside defeats Hanford.
Kennewick has locked up the No. 2 seed and will host Friday's Mt. Spokane/North Central winner. Southridge is the No. 3 seed and will play at University next weekend.
CWAC
Both Prosser (7-1, 7-0) and Othello (6-2, 6-1) control their own destinies. Win out and receive a bye past the regional playoffs and into the state playoffs.
The CWAC's No. 1 and 2 seeds both earn byes, as does the Great Northern League's No. 1.
Prosser plays at Toppenish (2-6, 2-5) on Friday and with a win locks up the No. 1 seed, thanks to owning tie-breakers with second place Ellensburg (6-2, 6-1) and Othello.
The Huskies need to beat Grandview (1-7, 1-6) on Friday to set up its season finale Thursday, Nov. 3, hosting Ellensburg in what could be a winner takes the No. 2 seed showdown.
Selah (4-4, 4-3), East Valley (5-3, 4-3), Quincy (3-5, 3-4) and Toppenish are all duking it out for the other three spots. East Valley hosts Selah in the regular-season finale in a game which will go a long way in determining playoff spots.
SCAC
Connell (7-1, 5-0) and Royal (6-2, 4-1) have both clinched playoff spots, with Connell taking the No. 1 and Royal the No. 2.
If Columbia-Burbank (6-2, 3-2) beats Wahluke (3-5, 1-4) on Friday or if River View (6-2, 3-2) loses to Connell, the Coyotes will get the No. 3 seed and the Panthers will be the No. 4. The only way River View can move up to No. 3 is with a win at Connell and a Burbank loss to Wahluke.
On the other side of the conference, Cle Elum (7-1, 5-0) hosts Zillah (6-2, 4-1) in a showdown for the No. 1 seed. If Cle Elum wins it is the No. 1 seed, while if it loses it is the No. 2 seed.
A Zillah loss creates a bit of chaos, though.
If Zillah loses and Granger (4-4, 3-2) wins, Granger is No. 2 and Zillah is No. 3 -- the difference between facing Royal or another team and Goldendale (4-4, 3-2) is No. 4.
If Zillah loses and Goldendale wins, Zillah is No. 2, Goldendale is No. 3 and La Salle (2-6, 2-3) is No. 4.
Southeast 2B
Waitsburg-Prescott (8-0, 4-0) has clinched the No. 1 seed, while DeSales (5-2, 3-1) has locked up the No. 2 seed.
Asotin (4-3, 2-2) hosts Dayton (4-3, 2-2) on Friday in a game for the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds.
Southeast 1B
Only Touchet (7-0, 5-0) has clinched one of the four playoff spots, though all Colton (7-1, 3-1) and Pomeroy (6-1, 3-1) need is a win over St. John-Endicott (1-5, 1-3). Garfield-Palouse (3-4, 2-2) figures to earn the other spot from this league.
