PASCO -- Columbia Basin College survived losses in the second and fourth sets to pull off an NWAACC East victory over Big Bend Community College on Wednesday in Pasco.

Bailey Carlson led the Hawks attack with 14 kills.

Madison Mansch measured out 27 assists and had nine of the Hawks' game-high 16 aces to help CBC (2-9, 14-18) to a win.

"They're playing hard," CBC coach Mike Baker said. "And the tough serving tonight was the big difference, other than that it was pretty even."

Warrior midfielder Luis Alcala scored in the 13th minute and Hawk midfielder Mike Chavez (Kennewick) answered back with a goal in the 38th on a Cristian Gonzalez assist as the two teams finished tied in an NWAACC East matchup.

WALLA WALLA -- Shae Yuma scored twice for Walla Walla Community College and goalkeeper Courtney Hancock earned the shutout as the Warriors blanked visiting Columbia Basin College in an NWAACC East contest.
