PASCO -- Columbia Basin College survived losses in the second and fourth sets to pull off an NWAACC East victory over Big Bend Community College on Wednesday in Pasco.
Bailey Carlson led the Hawks attack with 14 kills.
Madison Mansch measured out 27 assists and had nine of the Hawks' game-high 16 aces to help CBC (2-9, 14-18) to a win.
"They're playing hard," CBC coach Mike Baker said. "And the tough serving tonight was the big difference, other than that it was pretty even."
