West Richland Voters: Please retain councilmen Ken Dobbin and Merle Johnson and vote in Johan Curtiss. Mr. Dobbin and Mr. Johnson regularly walk our community and attend community events, always asking people, "How are things going," and, "What do you think about this or that?" Mr. Dobbin attended the Police Citizens Academy and the Gang Awareness Town Hall Meeting, and has been involved in the city for 17-plus years. I worked with Ken at the Fast Flux Test Facility for many years and know him to be honest and conscientious.
Mr. Johnson is a member of Red Mountain Lions Club and West Richland Chamber of Commerce. The Lions Club sponsors the Summer Concert Series and Carols & Cocoa at Flat Top Park, Harvest Festival and Un-Boat Rally. Johnson has been involved in community activities for many years.
Ms. Curtiss lists these five issues (and more) on her website (johancurtiss.com): work to set priorities based on quality of life; enhance park safety and usability and seek opportunities to add parks; examine the possibility of creating a community center; encourage the Council to host a safe community fireworks celebration and work to keep our rural lifestyle while encouraging appropriate commercial development. I whole-heartedly support her ideas.
Barb Valinske, West Richland
