Sankusesm African Music Festival is Oct. 26-27 at Whitman College in Walla Walla.

The festival consists of performances of African music written for classical instruments. The music style debuted in 2010 at Icicle Creek in Leavenworth.

The first concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in Chism Hall at Whitman College. International soloist Rachel Barton Pine is featured.

Then at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27, Pine will be joined by Margaret Gerguson, Sally Singer Tuttle and George Francois.
