* 2004 -- Vanessa Hileman scored her team-high eighth goal of the season as the Columbia Basin College women's soccer team defeated host North Idaho 1-0.

* 1992 -- Jolyn Kelly had nine kills and six blocks, while Tara Rattray added 11 kills as the Kiona-Benton volleyball team swept Toppenish in the battle of the Yakima Valley A unbeatens, 15-10, 15-10, 15-10. Ki-Be improved to 10-0, while Toppenish fell to 9-1.

* 1985 -- Jockey Tim Story rode Antique Jet to a wire-to-wire victory in the $51,525 Pot O'Gold Quarterhorse Futurity. Trained by Lin Melton and owned by Mr.s and Mrs. Robert Boekenoggen, Antique Jet covered the 400 yards in 20.9 seconds.
