* 2000 -- Victoria Prince, Jill Anglesey and Leslie Owen combined for 30 kills to lift Kamiakin to a 15-11, 15-10, 15-12 Big Nine win over Walla Walla, as the Braves finished a perfect 13-0 league slate.

* 1985 -- Hanford cross country runners John Keating and Jan Fredenburg each broke course records during the Falcons' Mid-Valley dual meet win in Prosser. Keating finished the 2.87-mile course in 15 minutes, 11 seconds to lead the boys, while Fredenburg paced the girls in 19:06.

* 1959 -- Tim Connors returned the opening kickoff 75 yrds for a touchdowns and the "Shanghai Shysters" defensive unit pitched a first-half shutout as the Columbia Basin College football team beat Yakima Junior College 34-13.
