* 1980 -- The Kennewick boys improved to 6-0 in cross country with a sweep of Kamiakin and Eisenhower, led by George Fraga and Brad Webber's 1-2 finish in 16 minutes, 11 seconds on the 5K course. The Lions girls were handed their first defeat of the season, losing to Ike, though Paula McSparrin set a course record in 19:53.

* 1959 -- Bob Mooney ran for two touchdowns -- one of them 80 yards -- to lead the Pasco football team to a 26-0 rout of the Shelton Highclimbers for the Bulldogs' first win of the season. Clark Henderson chipped in with a 67-yard TD run.
