Chief Chet D. Bauermeister, age 47, of the Franklin County Fire District 4 died in an apparatus accident while fighting a wildland/grass fire on June 23, 2010. The 30th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service honors him and 72 others who died in 2010.
