Who do I love who has battled breast cancer?
-- My husband who came to every appointment with me.
-- My 16-year-old daughter who looked after her siblings when I was too sick to take care of them.
-- My 14-year-old son who brought humor to a difficult situation.
-- My 2-year-olds who were oblivious to cancer and gave me a reason to keep going every day.
-- My awesome friends who brought meals, gifts and who called and emailed me and let me know that they were there for me.
-- My husband's work colleagues who showed their support by donating their paid time off to my husband.
-- Dr. Thomas Rado and all the staff at Columbia Basin Hematology & Oncology who show compassion and caring every single day and treat all their patients with respect and dignity.
Breast cancer isn't battle for one person, it is a battle fought by a community.
I feel so blessed to have so many join me in my battle against breast cancer, and I am so thankful that it has been three years since we won the battle!
