Market Vineyard opens tasting room in Richland

Market Vineyard has opened a tasting room at Queensgate Village, 1950 Keene Road, Building S, Richland.

It started in 2008 as an exclusive membership-only winery.

Market Vineyards is owned by Steve Anderson and Daniel Schulte of Kansas City and Matt Riesenweber and Bob Bertsch of Washington. Their focus is on limited production releases of primarily cabernet sauvignon focused wines, but also offer syrah and malbec. They recently added white blend called Liquidity.

Veteran Washington winemaker Charlie Hoppes produces the handcrafted wines made with grapes from Columbia Valley and Red Mountain.

Market Vineyards' tasting room is open from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
