Sorry, Chris Wollam (Letters, Oct. 5) it's too late. Washington legislators contractually joined the compact, providing for Washington electors to be bound by the National Popular Vote for president when a sufficient number of other states join the compact as well.
Passed by the Senate on March 12, 2009 and the House on April 15, 2009, and signed by Gov. Chris Gregoire on April 28, 2009.
The contract can be revoked, but what are the chances of that happening absent a citizens initiative?
