Oregon State Police are looking for four or more occupants of a pickup who witnessed an early-morning fatal motorcycle crash near Pendleton last week.

The wreck was on Highway 11 about 13 miles north of Pendleton on Oct. 2. Officials say they were told four or more people in a silver mid-2000s Chevrolet crew cab pickup saw the collision.

The crash was not reported, but was discovered around 12:15 a.m. by Trooper Trampas McCrae.

Carl W. Peak, 61, of Pendleton, was on a 2006 Harley-Davidson when he wrecked. He died about five hours later at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla.

Alcohol may be a factor, officials said.

The potential witnesses are asked to call McCrae at 541-278-4090, ext. 4818.
