Wilma and Lee Smith

Wilma and Lee Smith celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 30 with a family dinner in Kennewick.

They were married Sept. 29, 1951, at the Methodist Church in Kennewick. Wilma moved to this area in 1949 from Waterville, and Lee moved here in 1945 from Bend, Ore.

Wilma worked at Kennewick City Hall from 1950-51. In 1952 Wilma became a full-time homemaker after the birth of their first child. She volunteered at church and various civic organizations.

Lee belonged to the Laborer's Union 348, worked many years at Hanford, on several dams and for Pacific Kenyon.

He has built four family homes, done various remodeling projects and enjoys gardening.

They attend South Hills Church, and enjoy spoiling their Pomeranian, Polly.

They have three children, Debbie (Gene) Thompson, Barb (Craig) Littrell and Connie (Warren) Smith, all of Kennewick.

They have eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
