A Stanfield man died Thursday when he crashed his car on Highway 730 south of Wallula, just north of the Oregon border.
David Moore, 38, was alone in his Dodge Neon driving south when the car crossed the center line and struck rocks on the shoulder of the road at 5:36 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
He was not wearing a seat belt and died before he could be taken to a hospital, according to the state patrol. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
