KENNEWICK -- The Tri-City Americans traded 20-year-old defenseman Brock Sutherland to the Calgary Hitmen for 19-year-old forward Nathan MacMaster on Thursday.

The trade brings the Tri-City roster down to three overage players, Adam Hughesman, Mason Wilgosh and Brendan Shinnimin.

MacMaster, a 5-foot-10, 179-pounder, is moving to his third WHL team in his fourth full season. He was a second round selection by Moose Jaw before being traded to Calgary.

The Americans return to the Toyota Center at 7:05 p.m., hosting Kelowna. The Rockets defeated the Americans 4-3 on Thursday, sending the Ams to a third consecutive loss.

The Western Hockey League and ROOT Sports -- formerly FSN -- released its 10-game broadcast schedule, and the Ams will appear five times.

Tri-City will be featured on the regional sports channel Jan. 6, Jan. 13, Jan. 20, Jan. 27 and Feb. 17.
