Fans shouldn't encourage violence

A random thought from the Pasco brawl

I’m sure most people hope there won’t be another brawl at a Pasco football game this season.

But if there is, I’m thinking the Pasco fans should refrain from yelling encouragement to the kids involved. Not very classy, doesn’t help cool down the situation and sends a pretty poor message to other kids in the stands about taking out frustrations from a lost football game in an improper manner.

If you weren’t aware, after Eastmont’s 21-16 CBBN 3A victory over Pasco at Edgar Brown Stadium on Friday players from both teams got into a fight after going through the handshake line.

It was unclear who started the melee, but I definitely saw at least one player swinging his helmet as a weapon.

I’m guessing players will be suspended for their actions. We’ll try and find out next week.
