CBC volleyball edges Treasure Valley

PASCO -- Kelsey Solberg had 18 kills and 11 digs to lead the Columbia Basin College women's volleyball team to its first NWAACC East Division victory with a 3-2 home win over Treasure Valley on Friday night.

Bailey Carlson added 16 kills for the Hawks, while Madison Mansch handed out 25 assists.

Set scores: CBC wins 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-23.

Treasure Valley--Katherine Hunter 18K, 2 aces, 23 digs; Lacey Nauman 23K, 3 aces, 27 digs; Sarah McGinley 44 assists.

Columbia Basin--Bailey Carlson 16K, 2B,; Kelsey Solberg 18K, 11 digs; Yessica Diaz 7K, 21 digs; Amanda Heffner 21 digs; Madison Mansch 25 assists, Carolyn Smith 17 assists, Chyanne Hack 5K, 5B.

WWCC 3, Big Bend 0

WALLA WALLA -- Renee Baumann had 11 kills and 12 digs, and Kayla Hanus added 23 assists and eight digs as host Walla Walla Community College defeated Big Bend 25-19, 25-18 and 25-23 in an NWAACC East match.

Laekynn Culpepper added 13 digs for the Warriors. Kayla Curtsinger paced the Vikings with five kills, two aces and 11 digs.
