Shinnimin returns; CHL poll

Brendan Shinnimin is back with the Americans after brief stay with the Portland Pirates (AHL). His return brings the Ams' roster up to four overage players, including Adam Hughesman, Mason Wilgosh and Brock Sutherland. There is still a chance Matt MacKenzie could be returned from the Rochester Americans (AHL). That would bring the overage total to five. Teams have to be down to three by Oct. 13.

In other news, the Ottawa Senators reassigned Darren Kramer to the Spokane Chiefs, and the Calgary Flames returned Sven Bartschi to Portland.
