* 1972 -- The Richland High School sophomores, behind the passing and running of Mark Tortorelli, defeated Walla Walla 13-6. Tortorelli scored Richland's first touchdown on a 1-yard quarterback sneak and the extra point on a kick. He then hit Randy Thornhill on a 35-yard pass play for the winning TD in the fourth quarter.

* 1951 -- La Grande scored a touchdown in the final quarter to edge Kennewick 6-0. It was the first loss of the season for Hugh Barr's Lions, who fell to 2-1.
