DUI driver causes crash near Connell, WSP says

An accident caused by a drunken driver sent two men to area hospitals Friday night, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Juan C. Lomeli Reyes, 18, of Connell, was driving a 1995 Ford Probe north on Highway 395 six miles south of Connell about 11 p.m. when he drove into the back of another car also traveling north.

Lomeli Reyes' car rolled over, and he was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. His medical condition was not available Saturday night.

James. M. Whitmore, 55, of Kennewick, was driving a 2006 Kia Sorento. He was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with injuries.

Both cars were totalled, the WSP reported.
