OTHELLO -- Two women were injured in an accident on Highway 26 just west of Othello at 6 p.m. Friday.

Marisela Torres, 21, of Othello, was driving a Ford Escape south on Thacker Road and failed to yield as she began to turn east onto Highway 26, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Her car collided with a four-door car being driven west on the highway by Daniela Aguilar, 22, of Mabton, according to WSP.

Torres and a passenger in Aguilar's car, Veronica Hernandez, 21, of Lacey, were taken by Othello Community Hospital. All were wearing seat belts.
